Properties: Sweet; warm; nontoxic.

Channel entry: Life gate, hand and foot lesser yīn (shào yīn and greater yáng (shào yng2) channels.

Actions and indications: Invigorates yáng and boosts essence, warms the lumbus and knees, reduces the urine stream. Treats yáng vacuity marked emaciation, impotence, frequent urination, flooding and spotting, vaginal discharge, andmounting qì (shàn qì). Best eaten after autumn when the meat is fat and tender.
