Properties: Slightly bitter; cool.

Actions and indications: Cools the blood, stanches bleeding, reduces inflammation, and disinhibits urine. Treats coughing of the blood; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); bloody stool; bleeding from external injury.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Grind to a powder and sprinkle on the affected area.
