Properties: Bitter and slightly acrid; balanced.

Actions and indications: Quickens the blood and regulates menstruation; stanches bleeding and relieves pain; disinhibits water and disperses swelling; eliminates wind-damp.* Treats menstrual irregularities; injury from knocks and falls; bone fractures; blood loss; inhibited urination; snake bites.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–24g). Topical: Grind and sprinkle on affected area.
