Properties: Bitter and acrid; cool; toxic.

Channel entry: Lung and liver channels.

Actions and indications: Clears heat, resolves toxin, disinhibits water, and quickens the blood. Treats jaundice; dysentery; sand strangury; white turbidity; water swelling; toxin swelling of clove sores (dīng); injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–15g). Topical: Apply crushed.

Notes: Used as moneywort in Sìchuān 金钱草 in Sìchuān.

Production area: Sìchuān and the south of China.
