Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter and acrid; cold.

Actions and indications: Disinhibits water and frees strangury; disperses stasis; resolves toxin. Treats urinary stoppage; strangury; acute or chronic nephritis; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); coughing of blood; injury from knocks and falls; sores; scab (jiè) and lichen (xiǎn); snake bites.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g). Topical: Apply crushed or decoct as a wash.
