Indications:

Warms the center and disperses cold; disinhibits qì and sweeps phlegm; frees the channels and the network vessels, disperses swelling.

vomiting of food due to stomach cold; pain in the heart [region] and abdomen; lung cold cough; painful impediment (tòng bì); throat impediment (hóu bì); yīn flat-abscesses (yīn jū); cold phlegm; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage & Method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g) or use in pills or powders. Topical: Grind and apply mixed.

Product Description: This seed is round, with a diameter of 1–1.6 mm. The seed coat is deep yellow or light brown, some having a red tinge. Under a magnifying glass, the surface has faint reticular markings, and the hilum appears as a distinct spot. When soaked in water this seed swells, allowing the seed coat to be removed to reveal two cotyledons.
