Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter, acrid, and sour*; cool*.

Actions and indications: Transforms phlegm and relieves cough; rectifies the blood and dispels wind. Treats heat cough; phlegm panting; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); flooding and spotting; vaginal discharge; injury from knocks and falls; wind-damp pain; sore-toxin.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g) Topical: Decoct as a steam-wash; apply crushed.
