Ingredients:

• Dà huáng (大黄 Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, rhubarb) 125g
• Huáng bǎi (黄柏 Phellodendri Cortex, phellodendron [bark]) 125g
• Jiāng huáng (姜黄 Curcumae Longae Rhizoma, turmeric) 125g
• Bái zhǐ (白芷 Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Dahurian angelica) 125g
• Tiān nán xīng (天南星 Arisaematis Rhizoma, arisaema [root]) 50g
• Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 50g
• Cāng zhú (苍朮 Atractylodis Rhizoma, atractylodes [rhizome]) 50g
• Chuān pò (川朴 Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex Sichuanensis%#%, Sìchuān magnolia [bark]) 50g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 50g
• Tiān huā fěn (天花粉 Trichosanthis Radix, trichosanthes root) 250g

Action: Clears heat and resolves toxin; disperses swelling and relieves pain.

Indication: All initial-stage yáng-type welling-abscess (yōng) and sores characterized by heat, redness, pain and swelling.

Method: Apply to the sore, leaving a hole in the middle to facilitate the discharge of any toxic matter.
