Two Yīn Brew
二阴煎 〔二陰煎〕 èr yīn jiān

Ingredients
- Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]) 6–9g
- Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root]) 6–9g
- Suān zǎo rén (酸枣仁 Ziziphi Spinosi Semen, spiny jujube [kernel]) 6g
- Shēng gān cǎo (生甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix Cruda, raw licorice [root]) 3g
- Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 3–6g
- Xuán shēn (玄参 Scrophulariae Radix, scrophularia [root]) 4.5g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 4.5g
- Mù tōng (木通 Akebiae Trifoliatae Caulis, trifoliate akebia) 4.5g
Indications: Heat in the heart channel and water failing to counteract fire with fright mania and loss of mind, garrulousness and laughing; pox with heat vexation; loss of blood.
Method: Decoct with 20 lengths of
Variations: If there is pronounced phlegm-heat, add 3 gr of Dǎn xīng (胆南星 Arisaema cum Bile , bile [-processed] arisaema [root]) and 4.5 gr Tiān huā fěn (天花粉 Trichosanthis Radix, trichosanthes root).
