Pain-Relieving Paste
定痛膏 〔定痛膏〕 dìng tòng gāo

Ingredients
- Mù fú róng yè (木芙蓉叶 Hibisci Mutabilis Folium, cotton rose leaf)
- Zǐ jīng pí (紫荆皮 Cercis Cortex, cercis bark)
- Dú huó (独活 Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, pubescent angelica)
- Shēng tiān nán xīng (生天南星 Arisaematis Rhizoma Crudum, raw arisaema [root])
- Bái zhǐ (白芷 Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Dahurian angelica)
- Shēng mǎ lán cài (生马兰菜 Kalimeridis Herba et Radix Recens, fresh kalimeris)
- Shēng mò hàn lián (生墨旱莲 Ecliptae Herba Recens, fresh eclipta)
- Jiāng zhī (姜汁 Zingiberis Rhizomatis Succus, ginger juice)
Actions: Dispels swelling and relieves pain.
Indications: Injury from knocks and falls, sinew damage, and bone fractures.
Method: The first five ingredients are ground to a powder to be blended with crushed fresh kalimeris and eclipta, and the ginger juice. The blend is then stir-fried and applied warm to the affected area.
