Source: Jīn Guì Yào Lüè 金匮要略

Ingredients:

• Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 480g
• Sháo yào (芍药 Paeoniae Radix, peony [root]) 480g
• Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 480g
• Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 480g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 240g

Action: Nourishes the blood and quiets the fetus.

Indication: Blood vacuity with heat stirring the fetus.

Dosage: 6g at a time.

Rationale: The Dāng guī may be charred to address bleeding.
