Biliary Roundworm-Expelling Decoction
胆道驱蛔汤 〔膽道驅蛔湯〕 dǎn dào qū huí tāng

Ingredients
- Mù xiāng (木香 Aucklandiae Radix, costusroot) 9g
- Dà fù pí (大腹皮 Arecae Pericarpium, areca husk) 30g
- Shǐ jūn zǐ (使君子 Quisqualis Fructus, quisqualis [fruit]) 15g
- Kǔ liàn pí (苦楝皮 Meliae Cortex, chinaberry bark) 15g
- Zhǐ ké (qiào) (枳壳 Aurantii Fructus, bitter orange) 6g
Actions: Moves qì and disperses binds; expels parasites and relieves pain.
Indications: Parasitic infestations with severe abdominal pain, sometimes with a palpable lump. Originally devised for biliary tract roundworm, this formula can be also used to treat pinworm, tapeworm, and fasciolopsis (a genus of trematode worms).
Method: Decoct with water.
