Ingredients

• Liú jì nú (刘寄奴 Artemisiae Anomalae Herba, anomalous artemisia) 30g
• Shēng dì yú (生地榆 Sanguisorbae Radix Cruda, raw sanguisorba [root]) 30g
• Dì yú (地榆 Sanguisorbae Radix, sanguisorba [root]) (charred) 30g
• Shēng dà huáng (生大黄 Rhei Radix et Rhizoma Crudi, raw rhubarb) 30g

Actions: Clears heat; relieves pain.

Indications: Burns and scalds.

Method: Grind to a powder, blend with sesame seed oil, and apply to the affected area.

Rationale: Shēng dà huáng and raw Dì yú clear heat and drain fire. Charred Dì yú promotes contraction and astriction. Anomalous artemisia dispels stasis. Raw Dà huáng also quickens the blood. This formula treats burns and scalds effectively and with minimal scarring.
