Indications:

Breaks blood and frees menstruation; dispels stasis and relieves pain; disperses food and transforms accumulations.

blood stasis amenorrhea and postpartum abdominal pain; concretions and conglomerations; injury from knocks and falls; bleeding from incised wounds; food accumulations with abdominal pain.

Dosage & Method:

Oral: Decoct (4.5–9); use in powder preparation. Topical: Sprinkle crushed or ground to a powder on the affected area.

Warning:

Contraindicated in qì-blood vacuity and spleen vacuity with diarrhea.

Quality:

The best quality has green leaves and plentiful yellow inflorescences and has no signs of mold.
