Ingredients

• Gé jiè (蛤蚧 Gecko , gecko) 1 piece
• Dān shēn (丹参 Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix, salvia [root])
• Huái jiāo (槐胶 Sophorae Resina, sophora resin)

Actions: Dispels wind and stabilizes fright.

Indications: Lockjaw (tetanus) with arched-back rigidity, hypertonicity of the sinews, and clenched jaw.

Method: Soak house lizard in wine for three days, sun-dry, and grind. Then add the calomel and grind to an even consistency, and blend with sophora resin to form into pills the size of mung beans.
