Liver-Repressing Powder Plus Tangerine Peel and Pinellia
抑肝散加陈皮半夏 〔抑肝散加陳皮半夏〕 yì gān sǎn jiā chén pí bàn xià

Ingredients
- Dāng guī (当归 Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chinese angelica) 3g
- Gōu téng (钩藤 Uncariae Ramulus cum Uncis, uncaria [stem and thorn]) 3g
- Chuān xiōng (川芎 Chuanxiong Rhizoma, chuanxiong [rhizome]) 3g
- Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 4g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 4g
- Chái hú (柴胡 Bupleuri Radix, bupleurum [root]) 2g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 1.5g
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 3g
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 5g
Indications: Heart palpitation with dizziness, insomnia, general fatigue, and stiff shoulders.
Rationale: Gōu téng relieves spasm. Dāng guī nourishes liver blood. Chuān xiōng quickens the blood. Chái hú with Gān cǎo and Gōu téng courses the liver. Fú líng and Bái zhú move water-damp, while Chén pí and Bàn xià transform phlegm.
