Source: Dān Xī Xīn Fǎ 丹溪心法

Ingredients

• Tiān huā fěn (天花粉 Trichosanthis Radix, trichosanthes root) 15g
• Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root]) 30g
• Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 6g
• Xiān ǒu zhī (鲜藕汁 Nelumbinis Rhizomatis Recentis Succus, lotus root juice)
• Niú rǔ (牛乳 Bovis Lac, cow’s milk)

Actions: Nourishes yīn, engenders liquid, and clears heat.

Indications: Dispersion-thirst (xiāo kě) with stomach heat causing rapid digestion.

Method: Add milk and lotus juice to a strained decoction of the other agents.
