Tin-Like Powder
锡类散 〔錫類散〕 xī lèi sǎn

Ingredients
- Qīng dài (青黛 Indigo Naturalis , indigo) 18g
- Bīng piàn (冰片 Borneolum , borneol) 1g
- Niú huáng (牛黄 Bovis Calculus, bovine bezoar) 1.5g
- Rén zhǐ jiǎ (人指甲 Hominis Unguis, human nail) 1.5g
- Zhēn zhū (珍珠 Margarita , pearl) 9g
- Xiàng yá (象牙 Elephantis Dens, ivory) 9g
- Bì qián mù (壁钱幕 Urocteae Oötheca, wall spider’s egg case) 200 pieces
Actions: Clears heat and resolves toxin; dispels putridity and engenders the new.
Indications: Erosion in the mouth or throat.
Method: Grind to a fine powder and insufflate.
Rationale: Bīng piàn, Niú huáng, and Qīng dài clear heat and resolve toxin. Human nail (finger nail clippings), Bì qián mù, Zhēn zhū, and Xiàng yá xiè dispel putridity and engender the new (i.e., generate new tissue).
