Ingredients
- Xiān máo (仙茅 Curculiginis Rhizoma, curculigo [root]) 180g
- Wǔ wèi zǐ (五味子 Schisandrae Fructus, schisandra [berry]) (stir-fried) 90g
- Pào jiāng (炮姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Praeparatum, blast-fried ginger) 90g
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) (processed) 90g
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 90g
- Xìng rén (杏仁 Armeniacae Semen, apricot kernel) 90g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (stir-fried) 90g
- Xì xīn (细辛 Asari Rhizoma et Radix, asarum) 60g
Indications: Lung vacuity and cold rheum manifesting in episodes of panting and cough that prevents the patient from sitting or lying, vomiting of foamy phlegm, and no thought of food and drink.
Method: Grind to a rough powder. Note that one version of the formula has no white
Dosage: 3g at a time, decocted and strained.
