Ingredients

• Shā shēn (沙参 Adenophorae seu Glehniae Radix, adenophora/glehnia [root]) 9–12g
• Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root]) 9–12g
• Yù zhú (玉竹 Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma, Solomon’s seal [root]) 6–12g
• Tiān huā fěn (天花粉 Trichosanthis Radix, trichosanthes root) 6–12g
• Shēng gān cǎo (生甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix Cruda, raw licorice [root]) 3–6g
• Sāng yè (桑叶 Mori Folium, mulberry leaf) 6–9g
• Shēng biǎn dòu (生扁豆 Lablab Semen Crudum, raw lablab [bean]) 6–12g

Actions: Clears and nourishes the lung and stomach; engenders liquid and moistens dryness.

Indications: Lung-stomach yīn vacuity or damage to the lung by evil heat with signs such as dry throat, cough, ungratifying expectoration of phlegm, heat vexation, and thirst. Tongue: Red with scant fur.

Method: Decoct with water.
