Ingredients

• Xiāng rú (香薷 Moslae Herba, mosla) 6g
• Bái biǎn dòu (白扁豆 Lablab Semen Album, lablab [bean]) 9g
• Hòu pò (厚朴 Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, officinal magnolia bark) 6g
• Jīn yín huā (金银花 Lonicerae Flos, lonicera [flower]) 9g
• Lián qiào (连翘 Forsythiae Fructus, forsythia [fruit]) 6g

Actions: Eliminates summerheat and resolves the exterior.

Indications: Initial-stage summerheat with a new contraction of cold, characterized by heat effusion and aversion to cold with absence of sweating, headache, thirst, and red facial complexion. Tongue fur: Slimy. Pulse: Floating and rapid. Take the second half of the dose if sweating does not occur after the first. Repeat if necessary to bring about sweating.
