Ingredients
- Mù guā (木瓜 Chaenomelis Fructus, chaenomeles [fruit]) 1 jīn
- Huái niú xī (怀牛膝 Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, achyranthes [root]) 1 jīn
- Tiān má (天麻 Gastrodiae Rhizoma, gastrodia [root]) 1 jīn
- Ròu cōng róng (肉苁蓉 Cistanches Herba, cistanche) 1 jin
- Fù zǐ (附子 Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata, aconite [accessory root]) (processed) 2 jīn
- Hǔ gǔ (虎骨 Tigris Os, tiger bone) (mix-fried) 2 liangj3
Indications: Inhibited movement of the knee, lack of strength in the sinew and bone, difficulty walking, hypertonicity of the sinews, and wind-cold-damp impediment (fēng hán shī bì).
Method: Soak the first four agents in wine and stone-bake to dry. Grind to a powder with the aconite and tiger bone. Mix with flour and water paste and form into pills the size of firmiana seeds.
Dosage: 30–60 pills with wine on an empty stomach.
