Ingredients

• Lú gān shí (炉甘石 Calamina , calamine) (processed) 15g
• Dī rǔ shí (滴乳石 Stalactitum Tubiforme, tubular stalactite) 9g
• Huá shí (滑石 Talcum , talcum) 30g
• Xuè jié (血竭 Daemonoropis Resina, dragon’s blood) 9g
• Zhū shā gēn (朱砂根 Ardisiae Crenatae Radix, coral ardisia [root]) 3g
• Bīng piàn (冰片 Borneolum , borneol) 0.3g

Actions: Engenders flesh and closes wounds.

Indications: Welling- and flat-abscesses (yōng jū) and other sores that have burst, nearly finished suppurating and are starting to heal.

Method: Grind to a fine powder. Dab on the affected area and wrap with bandage.

Rationale: Lú gān shí, stalactite, and Huá shí engender flesh and close sores. Xuè jié moves stasis and expels pus. Zhū shā and Bīng piàn clear heat and resolve toxin.
