Ingredients:

• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 6g
• Gān jiāng (干姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma, dried ginger) 10g
• Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 15g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 12g. HAN WEIGHTSINFEN

Action: Warms the spleen, dispels damp, and relieves pain.

Indication: Damage by cold-damp with cold pain and sagging heaviness from the lumbus downwards, absence of thirst, and uninhibited urination. Tongue fur: White.

Rationale: Gān jiāng warms the channels and disperses cold, warming the spleen rather than the kidney. Bái zhú moves the spleen and dries dampness, and combined with Gān jiāng as warms spleen yáng. Notes: This is Líng guì zhú gān tāng (苓桂朮甘汤 Poria, Cinnamon Twig, White Atractylodes, and Licorice Decoction) with ganjiang instead of gancao.
