Ingredients:

• Shé chuáng zǐ (蛇床子 Cnidii Fructus, cnidium seed) 15g
• Kǔ shēn (苦参 Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, flavescent sophora [root]) 15g
• Huā jiāo (花椒 Zanthoxyli Pericarpium, zanthoxylum [husk]) 15g
• Bǎi bù (百部 Stemonae Radix, stemona [root]) 15g
• Kū fán (枯矾 Alumen Dishydratum, calcined alum) 15g

Action: Dries dampness; kills worms; relieves itching.

Indication: Pudendal itch.

Method: Decoct and apply topically.

Rationale: Shé chuáng zǐ, Kǔ shēn, xanthoxylum, and Bǎi bù all kill worms (the notion of parasites was traditionally expressed simply as chóng, worms or bugs). Kū fán dries dampness and relieves itching.
