Ingredients:

• Rén shēn (人参 Ginseng Radix, ginseng)
• Tiān dōng (天冬 Asparagi Radix, asparagus [root])
• Gān dì huáng (干地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata, dried rehmannia [root])

Action: Boosts qì and nourishes yīn.

Indication: Vacuity of qì and yīn characterized by lassitude of spirit and lack of strength, shortness of breath, and torpid intake.

Notes: This formula is so named because the Chinese names of the ingredients contain the characters 天 tiān, 人 rén, and 地 dì (heaven, man, earth), the three major forces (sān cái) at play in the world.
