Coptis Gallbladder-Warming Decoction

Ingredients

Actions: Clears the gallbladder and transforms phlegm; harmonizes the stomach and quiets the spirit.

Indications: Gallbladder-warming decoction patterns, but with severe phlegm-heat causing greater vexation and agitation and a stronger bitter taste in the mouth.

Method: Decoct with water.

Notes: This is Wēn dǎn tāng (温胆汤 Gallbladder-Warming Decoction) plus Huáng lián.
