Clouding sleep
昏睡 〔昏睡〕hūn shuì
Severe hypersomnia; a pronounced drowsiness and a tendency to sleep for excessive periods. It occurs in heat entering the pericardium, whose other signs include generalized heat that is most pronounced at night, a crimson tongue, rapid pulse, and sometimes maculopapular eruptions. Compare clouded spirit.
Etymology
Chin 昏 hūn, clouded, hazy; 睡 shuì, sleep.
