The yīn aspect of a yīn phenomenon. According to the principle that yīn and yáng are divisible but inseparable, all yáng phenomena can be divided into yīn and yáng components, as can all yīn phenomena. For instance, the chest and abdomen are yīn as opposed to the back, which is yáng. However, the chest (upper part) is yáng, whereas the abdomen (lower part) is yīn. The abdomen is thus the yīn within yīn. Compare yīn and yáng are divisible but inseparable.
