木 〔木〕mù
In the doctrine of the five phases, the phase that has the qualities of wood, trees, and other plantlife in general. Wood is the bending and straightening), which means that trees (the living wood) is flexible. The wood phase is associated with spring (season), birth (life-cycle stage), east (position), green-blue (color), the liver (viscus), the gallbladder (bowel), the eyes (orifice), the sinews (body constituent, and its suprlus, the nails), and anger (mind).
