Wind-heat

风热 〔風熱〕fēng rè

Externally contracted wind and heat. A combination of wind and heat (or wind and fire) gives rise to heat signs pronounced heat effusion and mild aversion to cold, cough, thirst, tongue with red margins and tip, with slightly yellow fur, and a pulse that is floating and rapid. In severe cases, there may be dry mouth, red eye, sore throat, and spontaneous external bleeding. Compare wind-fire.
