Water failing to moisten wood

水不涵木 〔水不涵木〕shuǐ bù hán mù

Kidney yīn vacuity (water) causing insufficiency of liver yīn (wood). In the five phases, the kidney belongs to water and the liver belongs to wood. Water failing to moisten wood manifests as low fever, dizziness, tinnitus, deafness, aching lumbus, seminal emission, and dry throat.
