Vacuity fall
虚陷 〔虛陷〕xū xiàn
A fall pattern occurring when a headed flat-abscess (jū) fails to heal owing to spleen-stomach vacuity and qì-blood depletion. In such patterns, the sore-opening is putrid and sloughing, although new flesh fails to grow. Vacuity fall is associated with heat effusion and aversion to cold, lassitude of spirit, torpid intake, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
