Upcast eyes
戴眼 〔戴眼〕dài yǎn
A condition in which both eyes are fixed in an upturned direction; observed in greater yáng (tài yáng) expiration patterns. The greater yáng (tài yáng) vessel reaches its end with upcast eyes, arching [of the back], and tugging and slackening.
It is also seen in child fright reversal and reverting yīn (jué yīn) wind-phlegm obstruction patterns.
Etymology
Chin 戴 dài, to wear on the head; to look upward; 眼 yǎn, eye.
