Sweating armpits

腋汗 〔腋汗〕yè hàn

Profuse sweating from the armpits; attributed to liver vacuity with heat or lesser yáng (shào yáng) with heat.

Medicinal therapy: For liver vacuity with heat, supplement the liver and nourish the blood with variations of Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill (六味地黄丸 liù wèi dì huáng wán). For lesser yáng (shào yáng) with heat, use variations of Minor Bupleurum Decoction (小柴胡汤 xiǎo chái hú tāng) or Free Wanderer Powder (逍遥散 xiāo yáo sǎn). People with body odor frequently suffer from sweating armpits. See foxlike odor.
