Stone moth

石蛾 〔石蛾〕shí é

A persistent nipple moth observed most commonly in children before qì and the physical body have reached their fullness, and attributed to weakness of the organs creating susceptibility to external evils and the lodging of (mild) evil toxin in the throat that congeals and binds to produce swelling.

Biomedical correspondence: chronic tonsillitis.

Medicinal therapy: Treat with Throat-Clearing Diaphragm-Disinhibiting Decoction (清咽利膈汤 qīng yān lì gé tāng) used in pill form. Pay attention to diet and way of life, appropriate warmth and coolness, and preventing contraction of evils to allow right to gain strength and thereby all the disease to be eliminated in time.
