Stomach wind

胃风 〔胃風〕 wèi fēng

1. An ancient disease name from Plain Questions (素问 sù wèn). A stomach disease that is caused by invasion of wind evil and characterized by sweating at the neck, aversion to wind, abdominal fullness, and diarrhea after taking cold food or drink.

Medicinal therapy: Dispel wind and disperse cold; warm the center and rectify qì. Use formulas such as Tsaoko Pill (豆蔻丸 dòu kòu wán) or Stomach Wind Decoction (胃风汤 wèi fēng tāng).

2. Accumulated heat in the stomach engendering wind and giving rise to vomiting.
