Ingredients:

• Cǎo dòu kòu (草豆蔻 Alpiniae Katsumadai Semen, Katsumadai galangal seed)
• Wú zhū yú (吴茱萸 Evodiae Fructus, evodia [fruit])
• Yì zhì rén (益智仁 Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus, alpinia [fruit])
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root])
• Qīng pí (青皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride, unripe tangerine peel)
• Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome])
• Shén qū (神曲 Massa Medicata Fermentata , medicated leaven)
• Mài yá (麦芽 Hordei Fructus Germinatus, barley sprout)

Action: Warms and moves spleen yáng; disperses cold and moves qì.

Indication: Cold accumulation abdominal pain due spleen-stomach yáng vacuity, damage from eating cold and raw food stuffs, and external cold evil contraction, causing accumulation of congealing stagnant cold. The pain comes in continual bouts associated with diarrhea, and is exacerbated by cold and relieved by heat.
