Stasis heat

瘀热 〔瘀熱〕 yū rè

1. Heat that is depressed and accumulating in the inner body. Stasis heat is observed, for example, when heat binds with dampness internally, and after stagnating for a long time, eventually causes jaundice, which can be treated with Virgate Wormwood Decoction (茵陈蒿汤 yīn chén hāo tāng).

2. Blood stasis transforming into heat.
