Clear

清 〔清〕 qīng

1. adj. Pure and insubstantial (e.g., clear yáng qì) in opposition to turbid.

2. adj. Not properly decomposed. See clear-grain diarrhea.

3. n. That which is clear (usually the clear). See clear yáng.

4. vb. trans To eliminate (heat or fire), e.g., clear the heart (eliminate heart heat), clear the lung (eliminate lung heat), and clear qì (eliminate heat from the qì aspect), and specifically to clear heat as opposed to draining fire. See clearing.

5. vb. trans To excrete (same as 圊 qīng).
