Spleen vacuous as a ball

脾虚如球 〔脾虛如球〕 pí xū rú qiú

Also eyelid vacuous as a ball; suspended ball. Puffy swelling of the eyelids making them appear as balls, without redness or pain. It is mostly caused by spleen vacuity complicated by dampness or insufficiency of qì and blood, and vacuity fire congesting the qì aspect.

Medicinal therapy: Treat by supplementing the spleen and boosting qì, assisted by dispelling evil. Use Wondrous Effect Astragalus Decoction (神效黄芪汤 shén xiào huáng qí tāng) or Center-Supplementing Qì-Boosting Decoction (补中益气汤 bǔ zhōng yì qì tāng).
