Slowness to teethe

齿迟 〔齒遲〕chǐ chí

One of the five slownesses. Slowness of infants to grow teeth. Teeth usually start to erupt at the age of 6–7 months. Any delay in this process is known as slowness to teethe. Since the teeth are the surplus of the bone and the kidney governs the bone, slowness to teeth is attributed to congenital kidney vacuity.

Medicinal therapy: Use formulas such as Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill (六味地黄丸 liù wèi dì huáng wán) prepared as a decoction.
