Slow emergence
缓发 〔緩發〕huǎn fā
See gradual emergence. The slow development of a disease. It results from the following causes:
- Sexual intemperance, which gradually wears essential qì and causes vacuity taxation (severe vacuity patterns).
- Excessive thought and preoccupation, which slowly damage the heart and spleen.
- Dampness, which, being sticky and clammy, often affects the body slowly.
