Shiver sweating
战汗 〔戰汗〕zhàn hàn
Perspiration accompanied by pronounced shivering is a sign of the struggle between the evil and right in externally contracted febrile diseases. Shiver sweating is a favorable sign when the disease resolves after it. If the disease does not resolve, right qì, severely debilitated by the struggle, may desert outward leaving the patient in a critical state. Shivering without sweating is a sign of insufficiency of right qì, and heralds the inward fall of the evil.
