Canthus

眦 〔眥〕zì

pl. canthi. The point at which the upper and lower lids meet at either extremity of the eye; the corner or angle of the eye. The inner canthus is the point where the lids meet beside the nose; the outer canthus is the point where they meet on the lateral aspect of the face. The canthi are also known as the blood wheel. Diseases affecting the canthi include excrescence creeping over the eye and weeping canthus.
