Blood vacuity scant menstruation

血虚月经过少 〔血虛月經過少〕xuè xū yuè jīng guò shǎo

Scant menstruation resulting from constitutional vacuity, damage to yīn through enduring sickness or blood loss, or insufficiency of the source of engendering transformation from damage to the spleen and stomach. Blood vacuity scant menstruation is marked by a scant thin pale flow and is accompanied by empty pain in the smaller abdomen, headache, dizziness, heart palpitation, and withered-yellow facial complexion.

Medicinal therapy: Supplement the blood, boost qì, and fortify the spleen using formulas such as Ginseng Provisioning-Nourishing Decoction (人参养荣汤 rén shēn yǎng róng tāng).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on SP, ST, and back transport points, selecting ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo), CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi), BL-17 (Diaphragm Transport, 膈俞 gé shù), BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), BL-21 (Stomach Transport, 胃俞 wèi shù), and LR-3 (Supreme Surge, 太冲 tài chōng). Needle with supplementation and add moxa.
