Long voidings of clear urine

小便清长 〔小便清長〕xiǎo biàn qīng cháng

Copious colorless urine that comes in long voidings. Long voidings of clear urine are a sign of vacuous kidney yáng failing to perform its containing function, a vacuity cold pattern, or exuberant internal yīn cold, a repletion cold pattern. This is in keeping with the law stated in The Inner Classic (内经 nèi jīng) that Any disease with watery humors that are clear, pure, and cold is ascribed to cold. See urine.
