From Plain Questions (素问 sù wèn, yīn yáng yìng xiàng dà lùn). The healthy fire (i.e., yáng qì) of the body that maintains life; it is distinct from vigorous fire, which is pathological fire. The lesser fire is probably so named because in a healthy body it is yáng contained by yīn.
