Internal blowing
内吹 〔內吹〕nèi chuī
Also internal blowing mammary welling-abscess. A mammary welling-abscess rǔ yōng occurring during pregnancy, attributable to effulgent fetal qì and depressed heat evil. It heals with difficulty after birth and special attention is needed to preserve the fetus. See mammary welling-abscess. Compare external blowing.
Etymology
Chin 内 nèi, internal, inner; 吹 chuī, blow. So called because it was originally attributed to wind blowing on the breast from inside the body due to movement of the fetus.
