Foot yáng brightness (yáng míng) malaria

足阳明疟 〔足陽明瘧〕 zú yáng míng nüè

Malaria in the foot yáng brightness (yáng míng) channel. Plain Questions (素问 sù wèn, cì nüè piān) states, Foot yáng brightness (yáng míng) malaria causes the person first to be cold as if sprinkled with water; when the cold is pronounced, the heat effusion comes; when the heat effusion goes, sweating comes. [The patient] likes to see sunlight, moonlight, and fire qì and gains gratification from them. [For this], needle the yáng brightness (yáng míng) on the instep.

Medicinal therapy: Use a large packet of Lophatherum and Gypsum Decoction (竹叶石膏汤 zhú yè shí gāo tāng).
